Tucker Hill Celebrates One Year Anniversary Of Partnership With Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels

Tucker Hill Air, Plumbing & Electric, a commercial and residential plumbing and HVAC service provider, is proud to celebrate one year of supporting Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels through monthly donations and other contributions.

For the past 12 months, Tucker Hill has been making monthly donations to a local nonprofit organization called Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels that supports the urgent needs of families impacted by childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Every month, Amanda Hope accepts 120 new patients, with each child receiving $35 worth of supplies. Eacn new patient receives a care pack (which includes Comfycozy’s for Chemo adaptive apparel), a mindfulness kit, and essentials like Kleenex, lotion, shampoo, and chapstick.

The families of patients may also receive counseling and financial assistance to help cover the cost of various expenses, such as utility bills, car repair, and groceries. These services have played an especially critical role over the past few years due to the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the past year, Tucker Hill donations have helped cover the cost of more than 170 Comfycozy’s for Chemo adaptive apparel. The continued support of Tucker Hill has even allowed Amanda Hope to meet the needs of children and their families in Nevada through partner organizations in the state.

Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels Founder and CEO Lorraine Tallman said, “Our goal is to bring hope, comfort, and care to the lives of children fighting cancer and their families. Tucker Hill’s gift is truly priceless because their donations are used to keep families together through emotionally and financially difficult times.”

Tallman continues, “At Amanda Hope, we try to give kids good, happy moments that they can remember from their chemo journey. And thanks to Tucker Hill’s support, we are able to continue bringing hope and joy.” The organization throws “No More Chemo” parties for cancer survivors, providing plates, cake, frosting, banners, and gift certificates to celebrate the patient’s recovery.

Tucker Hill CEO Jeremy Prevost commented, “We are honored to come alongside Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels and see the positive impact on brave children and their families. We’d like to thank our clients and local community for joining us in the fight against childhood cancer.”

The non-profit organization was founded in 2012 in celebration of Amanda Hope’s life. Amanda Hope was diagnosed with leukemia at nine years old and passed away three years later. She had dreamed of designing a clothing line for children diagnosed with cancer to provide comfort and dignity during chemotherapy.

Today, the nonprofit provides gifts to all children diagnosed with cancer and other blood related disorders. The organization also supports healthcare professionals and families navigating the complex journey of cancer treatment.

Prevost adds, “In the coming years of our partnership, we hope to see many more survivors emerge victorious with the support of their families, united and strong.”
