Toolbox

First order of business is to purchase a toolbox to store all of your tools in one place. Stop by a local hardware store to pick one up just for plumbing.

Plunger

A plunger is the first device you’ll use to clear a clog. A plunger can be used to unclog toilets, drains, sinks, and bathtubs. However, the type of plunger you will use will vary depending on where the clog is located.

Pipe wrench

A pipe wrench has a toothed jaw that’s designed to grip and turn threaded pipes and pipe fittings. You’ll need two pipe wrenches: one to grip the pipe and the other to turn the fitting. Pipe wrenches are sold in sizes from 12 to 18 inches.
